CAPOSUD, L’INFORMAZIONE DA UN ALTRO PUNTO DI VISTA


Caposud è un giornale in italiano che parla dei Sud del mondo, scritto solo da corrispondenti locali. La redazione italiana si limita ad animare, contattare, editare e tradurre gli articoli, cercando voci indipendenti e testimoni diretti.


Vogliamo, tra le nostre pagine, dare tutto lo spazio a chi per primo ha diritto di parlare della situazione del proprio Paese. A chi dareste subito la parola se doveste parlare di Inghilterra: ad un inglese o ad uno svedese? E allora perché quando si parla di Sud del mondo, nel 90% dei casi è il Nord a parlare?


Ecco cosa è il nostro giornalismo.


Non ci sentiamo meno giornalisti di chi firma articoli in prima persona. Cerchiamo tutti la stessa cosa: verità, notizie, approfondimenti. Tramite ogni articolo cerchiamo di fornire al lettore “un punto di vista differente” rispetto a quello che troverà altrove, su altre testate italiane e nell’agenda mondiale dei media.


Questo secondo numero è dedicato in particolare al Niger. Un paese poco conosciuto ma ricchissimo di uranio: una situazione tipica dei Paesi in Via di Sviluppo. Una fotografa inglese – Julia Winckler, a cui va il nostro ringraziamento – ci ha concesso il fotoreportage “Stories from Agadez”, realizzato grazie a lei da un gruppo di fotografi non professionisti nella zona del Nord del Niger. La zona dell’uranio, dove si agita la “ribellione Tuareg” e da qualche tempo, sembra, anche Al Quaeda. Ma la gente di quella zona ha fotografato e descritto la propria vita quotidiana e dato la propria testimonianza diretta, cogliendo aspetti semplici di solito nascosti ai riflettori.


Il Primo Piano del numero due ci arriva invece da un giornalista professionista nigerino residente a Niamey, Hassan Boukar, ed entra nel dettaglio politico della questione Sahel – Al Quaeda – Occidente.


E ancora: Brasile, Perù, Burundi…


La tragedia di Haiti vista da un africano: perché Haiti, prima repubblica nera della storia, è legata con il sangue al continente africano. Verso Haiti si sta indirizzando anche la solidarietà dell’Africa, non solo la nostra. Ma chi ne parla?


La rubrica “l’Osservatore Romeno”, scritta di Mihai Mircea Butcovan, scrittore rumeno residente da molti anni in Italia…che ci parla di un altro Sud: il Sud dell’Italia.

Caposud is a newspaper written solely in Italian writing by correspondents of the Southern Hemisphere. The Italian editorial limit themselves him to contact, editing and translation of the articles, whilst looking for independent voices and direct testimonials.


We want to give within our pages an entire space to those who have the right to speak of the situation of their own country. To who would give the opportunity to speak of England: to an English or to a Swede?


This cause marks our journalism.


We don’t feel there less journalists of who signature articles in before person. We look for the whole same thing: truth, news, close examination. Through every article we try to furnish the reader with “a different point of view” to that which can be found elsewhere, in other Italian magazines and in the worldwide media.


This second edition is devoted particularly to the Niger. A little known country rich in uranium: a situation typical of developing countries. An English photographer, Julia Winckler, to which our thanks go, has granted us the rights for “Stories from Agadez”, a body of reportage realized for her by a group of amateur photographers in North of the Niger. This uranium rich zone has been subject to the “Tuareg rebellion” and for a while it seems, also to the presence of Al Queda. But the people of that zone have photographed and described their daily life and give their own direct testimony, gathering simple aspects, hidden to outsiders.


The main article of the second edition was delivered to us a professional journalist resident in Niamey, Niger – Hassan Boukar – and enters into a discussion of political factors pertaining to the ecoclimatic region of the Sahal in North Africa – al Qaeda, and the West.


And yet more: Brazil, Peru, Burundi… and the tragedy of Haiti as seen by an African: because Haiti, the first black republic in history, has blood ties historically to the African continent. Through Haiti the solidarity of Africa is addressed. But who speaks of it?


Finally, “the observer Romeno”, written by Mihai Mircea Butcovan, resident Romanian writer, who has spent many years in Italy speaks to us of another ‘South’: the South of Italy.
