A brief rundown of some musical news and releases that you won’t read in the mainstream press:

The Human League have signed a new record deal nine years after releasing their last album!

On the 12th January the official announcement was made that the band has signed to cutting edge independent label Wall of Sound for a worldwide multi-album deal. Release details are sketchy at present but it has been reported that the band have recorded rough versions of around 15 new songs and are currently looking at producers”.

Since merging with Independent distributor PIAS, in 2006, Wall of Sound is now home to Soulwax, Mogwai, Felix Da Housecat, Mongrel, Reverend and The Makers, Grace Jones, Shy Child and Röyksopp amongst others.

Maybe the new label will build the band a website…
